MY FRIENDS

Today I will write about my friends.
My best friends are four girls.
I met them in my old school, La Salle in Figueres. When we were children and we were at the same classroom in Primary.
Julia, lives in Figueres. She has fair hair and brown eyes. She was my first friend at school.
In the playgrownd we always played together and we also sat together at the same table.
When I met the other girls we formed a compact group, their names are Anna, Marta and Ester.
We grew up and we met other people.
Now we aren’t at the same school but we generally meet at the weekend, because during the week we have exams.
When we are together, we normally have a walk along the streets in Figueres and we meet other friends in the city, and the school friends. The first time I was at the new school I was afraid because everybody had their groups
, but now I have a lot of new friends there

MY FAVOURITE GROUP

My favourite group is “La Fuga”.

I like many songs. On the 13th I'm going to the concert with my friends. Now I listen to the songs of the new cd, but I like the songs of other cds.

My favourite song is:

Por verte sonreír he vuelto yo a perder

Sant Pere Pescador

St. Pere Pescador is my village. Our village in the Empordà, a lilttle universe of landscape set in one of the most beautiful bays to be found in the Mediterranean.

· The LANDSCAPE: the great expanses of green and wooded zones that suround the village from a unique setting, conductive to pursuits such as hiking, horse-riding and cycling.
· The BEACH: our beach features an exceptional beach of dunes bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean. Nearly 7 Km of activity, beauty, nature relaxacion,..
· The RIVER: water plays a key role in Sant Pere Pescador. From the Fluvià river to the Mediterranean sea, water irrigates our crops, fills our wetlands, draws the rods of fishermen and carries along the vessels and surf boards of water-sports enthusiasts.
· The APPLES: the local apple is the star of our district’s agricultural produce, it is exported all over the world on account of its reputation for quality.

A SPECIAL SATURDAY

I get up at 10:00 o’clock, I have a shower and after that I get dressed with my favourite clothes.
Then I go to the kitchen for breakfast.
I phone my friends to go shopping in Girona.
At 11:30 we catch the train.
We go shopping in the city centre to buy a lot of clothes and more shoes.

At lunchtime we go to eat in a restaurant. After that we watch a film in the cinema.
When the film is finished, we return home.

At the time of dinner my best friends come to my house, we get changed and we put on make up, and after we go to the disco.

TERRITORY OF ENGLAND

The territory that today includes England was occupied by Celtic tribes. Rome invaded Great Britain.During the 5th century, several Germanic tribes invaded the Great Britain, moving the culture of the coming Celtic populations towards the West and to the North. This invasion is known as an Anglo-Saxon conquest. From the 8th century, England suffered constant incursions on the part of the vikings. The Battle of Hastings, in 1066, is a crucial moment of the history.
CHESTNUTS

Together with panallets and "vi ranci",
chestnuts are the most traditional
product for the time of year around
All Saints’ Day. Chestnuts grow in
numerous Catalan forests. In the
chestnut forest of Sant Segimon, at
the foot of the Matagalls mountains,
the trees are very old; their trunks
measure more than ten metres in
diameter and have large cavities.
The best way to eat chestnuts is to
go to a "castanyada". On 1st November
there are large "castanyades" in every
village.

NEW COURSE

First course in Batxillerat

I started this course in Castelló d’Empúries, because in my old school they don’t do Batxillerat. As I live in Sant Pere Pescador. I have to come to Castelló.
I like coming here because people are very friendly. I have a lot of friends, and I’m more independent that in my previous school. When the students decide to do Batxillerat they must be persistent in their work, organized, they have to study every day, do their homework, give in projects on the date. And also we all revise our notes at home. I try to do it but I find it very difficult to go through my notes every day.

Dublin.

In this summer I travelled by plane to Dublin to
study English.
I arrived in Dublin 28th June, I stayed two weeks and I returned to Spain on 12th July I went with my friends from school.
We stayed in houses of Irish families, I stayed with my friend Julia. There were 4 people in the house, the mother, father and two children, Emma and Aufie, they were five and seven years.
The most horrible thing in Dublin was the weather, it rained all the time, it was cold, We always had to carry a jaket and an umbrella.
During the days we spent there we went to English school for three houes, Then we had lunch in the school canteen. In the afternoon we did different activities like playing volleyball, art football...
At 16:00 we took the train and went to the city centre for a walk, to do some shopping. Finally we went back home.
The Saturdays we went on a trip and visited a few villages and a castle. On Sunday the group of friends met in the city centre and had lunch together and went a walk and chatted. For to go around the city we took the bus because it was cheap and easy.
It was a nice trip because I met new people and a new country.
I had fun with my friends and learn same English. I would like to do again.
